Cancer Surgery Alberta will improve surgical outcomes of cancer patients through the provision of education and quality improvement initatives for surgeons who are committed to excellence.  

Guiding Principles

  • Cancer Surgery Alberta operates in accordance with the values of the Alberta Health Services.
  • Cancer Surgery Alberta fosters a climate which encourages innovation, participation, collaboration and consensus amongst its members.
  • Quality improvement through education and knowledge translation is our fundamental focus. Cancer Surgery Alberta will offer programs that update the surgical skills of our members and thus improve overall patient care.
  • Cancer Surgery Alberta will ensure that collaborative partnerships are developed and maintained between clinicians, administrators, community leaders at the local, provincial, and national level.
